    2. When you complete Honeycomb’s online submission form (e.g., get a quote)

Personal Information we collect: Contact details (including, name, email address, phone number, address), property details (including, address of the property, details of the property), details of the insured person, company/organization, or any of its members specifically designated by name as an insured(s) in the insurance policy, and any additional information/messages you choose to provide us with while completing the online form.

For what purposes: to provide you information about the products and services in which you have expressed interest (e.g., to receive a quote); to send you submission form’s and quotes related communications, to answer your request; to provide you with a quote (via email and SMS), and to send you marketing communications.

    3. When you sign up for an account (as an insured person/company or as a broker)
      1. Personal Information we collect: Contact details (including, name, email address, phone number) and any additional information/messages you choose to provide us with.

      2. For what purposes: to allow you to create an account, to allow you to view and manage your insurance policies, and to make payments.

    4. When you make a purchase a policy or service
      1. Personal Information we collect: Contact details (including, name, email address, phone number, address), payment and billing details (to the extent that it includes Personal Information) and any additional information you choose to provide us with.

      2. For what purposes: to allow you to purchase an insurance policy, to send you an email with the details of your insurance policy, to send you contract-related communications, and to send you marketing communications.

    5. When you submit a website form request (e.g., contact us request, get an appointment)
      1. Personal Information we collect: name, email address, message or other information that you decide to provide us with (e.g., when you send us an email or call us)

      2. For what purposes: to answer your questions and requests, to give you an apportionment with our representatives, to provide you support, to help you with your insurance policy queries, to send you communications related to your request (e.g., to schedule the appointment), to customize the products and services, and to send you marketing communications.

    6. When you subscribe to our blog posts and/or newsletters
      1. Personal Information we collect: Full name and email address.

      2. For what purposes: to provide you information about our products and services; to send you marketing communications; to send you updates or news regarding the Website (including, the blog).

    7. When you submit a job application (careers)
      1. Personal Information we collect: Full name, email address, phone number, CV, cover letter, any other information that you decide to provide us with.

      2. For what purposes: to assess you as a candidate, to send you application/interview-related communications.

    8. When you interact with us on our social media profiles (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
      1. Personal Information we collect: your name and any additional information/message/comment you choose to provide us on social media.

      2. For what purposes:to answer your request/questions and to provide you information about those products and services in which you have expressed interest.

    9. Anonymous Information. Honeycomb may aggregate your Personal Information with others’ information and prepare reports on Website usage, purchase history or other factors for sale or distribution to others. Those reports are aggregated and include no personally identifying information. “Anonymous Information” means information which does not enable identification of an individual user, such as aggregated information about the use of our services. We may use Anonymous Information and/or disclose it to third parties without restrictions (for example, in order to improve our services and enhance your experience with them).
  2. SOURCES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
    1. We obtain Personal Information directly from you when you provide it through one of the mechanisms described above. Please note that by submitting your Personal Information (specifically your phone number) (to the maximum extent permitted by law) you are consenting for Honeycomb to contact you (for the purpose of your submission) even if you are registered on a Federal or State “Do not call List”.
    2. We may receive your Personal Information when the relevant broker will submit a request for an insurance policy and/or a quote on your behalf.
    3. We may also acquire Personal Information from third-party sources (such as lead-generation companies), in order to establish a business connection with you.
  3. PERSONAL INFORMATION SHARING
    1. Honeycomb will share your Personal Information as described below:
      1. Honeycomb will provide your Personal Information to its affiliates and subsidiaries.

      2. Honeycomb will share your Personal Information with our partners and other third parties. We disclose your Personal Information as is necessary for us to provide you with the insurance products and services you expect us to provide, including, without limitation, insurers, reinsurers, insurance intermediaries, brokers, reinsurance brokers, wholesale brokers, underwriters, actuaries, insurance reference bureaus, fraud detection agencies, advisers, loss adjusters, claim adjusters, lawyers, accountants, bookkeeping and others involved in the claims handling process. For example, we may share some of your information with an insurance carrier and/or an independent insurance agency for the purpose of obtaining a quote. Please Note: Third party insurance carriers and independent insurance agencies have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for these policies nor the products and/or services offered by third party providers, so please make sure to review the privacy policy of any third party carrier from whom you may purchase a policy.

      3. When Honeycomb is unable to offer you a quote for your insurance coverage, Honeycomb will share the information you shared with us with our business partners in order to allow them to reach out to you regarding a potential insurance carrier that may meet your needs. Once we share your information with such business partners, use of said information will be governed by their privacy policies.

      4. Honeycomb will provide your Personal Information to third party companies that provide services to Honeycomb for Honeycomb’ business activities. We may use third party service providers to process your information for the purposes outlined above, including, without limitation:

        • With cloud service providers for hosting purposes;
        • With websites and web content creation platforms in order to help us manage our Website;
        • With email providers, marketing, CRM, other similar tool providers and/or sales dialer software;
        • With tracking technologies, cookies and analytic companies, in order to help us understand and analyze information we collect in accordance with this policy;
        • With insurance carriers integration platforms, comparative raters;
        • With billing companies; and/or
        • With data validation and enrichment companies.
      5. Honeycomb will (to the minimum extent required) disclose information to a potential or actual third party purchaser of our business or assets. In the event that we are acquired by or merged with a third party entity, or in the event of bankruptcy or a comparable event, we reserve the right to transfer or assign Personal Information in connection with the foregoing events.

      6. To the extent necessary, we may share Personal Information with regulators, to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and rules, and requests of law enforcement, regulatory and other governmental agencies or if required to do so by court order. Where we receive requests for information from law enforcement or regulators, we use commercially reasonable efforts to validate these requests before any Personal Information is disclosed.

  4. MARKETING USES/OPT-OUT
    1. Honeycomb may also use your Personal Information to send you emails or postal communications regarding products or services offered by Honeycomb or by third parties with whom Honeycomb has relationships in which Honeycomb thinks you may be interested. You may at any time choose not to receive Honeycomb’s promotional emails, or to withdraw consents given by you, by contacting Honeycomb at info@honeycombinsurance.com OR by unsubscribing at the bottom of the marketing communications. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Honeycomb may continue to contact you for the purpose of service-related purposes (including, your insurance policy).
  5. SECURITY AND RETENTION
    1. The security of your Personal Information is important to Honeycomb. Honeycomb follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to Honeycomb, both during transmission and once Honeycomb receives it. We have implemented market standard technical, organizational and security measures designed to reduce the risk of accidental destruction or loss, or the unauthorized disclosure or access to such information appropriate to the nature of the information concerned. However, please note that we cannot guarantee that the Personal Information will not be exposed as a result of unauthorized penetration to our servers. Nevertheless, we use commercially reasonable efforts to make the collection and security of such Personal Information consistent with this Privacy Policy and all applicable laws and regulations. We reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law, for instance if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. In the event that your request would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others (for example, would impact the duty of confidentiality we owe to others) or if we are legally entitled to deal with your request in a different way than requested, we will address your request to the maximum extent possible, all in accordance with applicable law.

  8. INTERACTION WITH THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS

  9. RIGHTS OF CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
    1. Our California Do Not Track Notice: Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers.
